I laughed out loud (really) after reading about your "ransacked" apartment...not the burglary but the normal look of your place after the incident. Summer songs and songs from the summer will always make us feel free from school and its tedious monotony and give us promises of romance and naughtiness.

Yes, Summer in the City, definitely, atmospheric sounds like NPR before NPR, but I also have to confess that during my junior high adventures to Riis Park and Manhattan Beach it was, gasp, Tommy James and the Shondells bubble gum music. I can smell the suntan oil. Even better I've now learned a little about the current scene.
